Students starting their college journey for the first time will attend an overnight orientation experience. This two-day program is filled with important information to support your academic and student success. 住房 accommodations in our on-campus residence halls are provided to all students on the first night of the orientation program.
First-Year Student 取向 Learning Outcomes
As a result of attending first-year student orientation, students will…
- understand 马塞诸斯州大学波士顿’s values of being an anti-racist, health promoting campus
- demonstrate the ability to navigate campus academic technologies
- realize the transitional challenges they may encounter during the first year and how to manage them
- complete their course registration process through connections with academic advising
- begin to establish community connections with other first-year students
- learn how to engage outside the classroom through co-curricular activities
Steps to Register for 取向
Follow these steps below to select your orientation date:
1. Pay Your Deposit
- 支付你的 new student deposit on the Beacon Gateway.
- It can take up to 2-3 business days for your deposit to process.
- If you have questions about your deposit, please contact Undergraduate 招生 at (617) 287-6100 or 大学肄业生.admissions@classiccustomupholstery.com.
2. Register for a Session
- Once your deposit has processed, return to the Beacon Gateway and click on the 'events' tab.
- Under the 'events' section you will see New Student 取向.
- Click 'Find a Session' under New Student 取向 to select a date that works best for you.
- Complete the questionnaire and be sure to click SUBMIT to confirm your registration.
3. Check Your Email
- Once you register, a confirmation email will be sent to your application email and your new 马塞诸斯州大学波士顿 email address.
- Reminder emails with additional details will be sent prior to your orientation session. Please check your email regularly and review this important information.
4. Review the Checklist
- Prior to your 取向, review the Pre-取向 Checklist to prep for your session.
